Hello Year 2!
I am so proud of how hard lots of you have worked this week. I have loved your videos, written work and pictures.
Next week we will continue to use Google Classroom and Seesaw for our tasks and to keep in touch. It really is always so lovely to hear from you all as I really do miss you all lots.
There is some VERY IMPORTANT information below about our live lessons next week which I would like you to share with your parents.
Our Year 2 live lesson is on Tuesday 12th January at 11.00 a.m. It would be great if before the lesson you could get a piece of paper and a pencil please.
You need to log-in to Hwb and follow the instructions on the video that has been shared.
Your hwb log-in is on all of your log-in cards that you took home with you, if you do not have your log-in details, then please let me know Monday 11th so that I can re-send them to you.
BELOW IS THE VIDEO SHOWING YOU HOW TO ACCESS TEAMS ON HWB WHERE WE WILL MEET FOR OUR LIVE SESSION. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU WATCH THIS BEFORE OUR SESSION WITH AN ADULT.
Please log-in 5 minutes before our session starts. You may have your camera on as it would be so lovely to see you all.
Please ensure that your microphone is on mute - this will make it easier for us all.
This is very exciting and new to us all so please don't be worried about anything. It will be fantastic to see you all.
Love Mrs Jones x x
11th January 2021
Bore da Blwyddyn 2!
I hope you had an amazing weekend with your families. I was really impressed with all the work you carried out last week.
Today I am going to set you your tasks for the week. Sometimes the tasks on Seesaw will come daily so keep an eye out.
TASKS FOR THE WEEK:
This week I have set you a book to read on Gigglets called:
A Week Of Weather.
You can either read the book your self or press the sound button and listen to the story being read.
Our activities will be based around this book.
1: Answer with your parents the reading questions set. Talk about the story, what weather did the children see? What is your favorite type of weather?
2: Go and a local walk with your family and take some pictures of what you have found that is of interest to you? Did you find ice? What was the weather like?
3: Can you keep a weekly weather diary- writing the days of the week and what the weather was like each day? Can you keep a diary of at least 4 days? The template below is optional.
You can write the day in Welsh and the weather is Welsh. Find Welsh days and weather attached.
4: Look at the PowerPoint attached about our new RE topic books. I would like you to design a book cover of your choice or make a new book cover.
Think about it being exciting, bold, colorful, it will need to have a title and author.
Also to make a list of the books you would use in school and then at home. Some books maybe used in both.
5: Look at the 3D shape PowerPoint and can you name the 3D shape. What do you notice abut each shape? What items do they look like? How is a sphere different to a cube?
Then carry out the Home challenge to find and make the shapes.
6:On Purple Mash you can choose to be a weather man or woman and talk about the weather on one day of your choice.
7:SeeSaw sorting 3D shape activity. Look at the colors of each shape and use that color to circle each shape.
8: Carry out some form of exercise of your choice.
9: logon to our live session on Tuesday at 11am- I am really looking forward to seeing all of you for a catch up.
10: Mathletics task set.
I am looking forward to seeing all of your interesting work and pictures. Have a lovely week
Lot of love Mrs Jones xx
